Alpaca Shearing for our alpacas
We use a Russell Gent shearing table to ensure our alpacas are treated well while being shorn. We have flexibility to shear when and where we choose. Pregnant and lactating dams can be shorn at a more convenient time. And while on the table a full health check can be done, easily and efficiently.
We grade the fleece as it comes off the alpaca and sort it into the 3 categories - blanket, neck,legs/belly.
