Showing Alpacas
Showing alpacas is a fun way to benchmark your animals and breeding decisions against others in the industry. It is also a great way to network with other breeders. Most owners are happy to allow you to get hands-on with their winning animals. Being able to do this is a great privilege and a valuable tactile learning experience.
We made the decision to show our future breeding dams as Juniors and Intermediates in the show ring. It was reassuring to have our purchasing decisions affirmed by New Zealand, Australian and American judges. Te Kowhai Alpacas has had several productive show seasons with a selection of broad ribbons at North Island A & P shows.
Te Kowhai Alpacas has had multiple placing at National Expo's since 2007.
We are now successfully exhibiting the results of our own breeding programme.
